WHO WE ARE
We are a women-led charity dedicated to helping women who face seemingly impossible barriers find a way to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
WHAT WE DO
Over the last 5 years, we have supported over 250 women.
Activities Delivered
Fit 4 Life project delivers a wide range of accessible, women-only activities:
- Gym sessions (small groups, closely supervised)
- Group fitness and Pilates classes
- Spin bike sessions with qualified instructors
- Healthy eating and nutrition workshops
- Mental health and wellbeing sessions
- Peer support groups
- Mind Matters creative arts sessions
- Walking football (Bolton Wanderers partnership)
- Women-only swimming sessions
- Outdoor walks and social activities
- Health awareness and screening events
197 women who had never taken part in any form of physical exercise now access our ladies only gym.
230 women living in social isolation with anxiety and depression have received 1-1 counselling and completed various creative art therapy programs. They now access our day centre a couple of times a week.
We have helped 7 women rewrite their futures and flourish following years of physiological, emotional and financial abuse. We help support with awareness, resilience and confidence-building sessions, which includes basic English, work-skills and IT classes.
We have supported 11 young adults in work experience placements.
87 ladies over 60 years old attend our older women’s lounge for befriending, group activities, yoga and lunch club.
We have also supported 97 women though provision of food and essentials
